Let us first mention two old biographies of Teresa:

Written by a Spanish Carmelite friar, this biography is currently the only Spanish biography of Teresa available in Europe. Recently translated in French.

- Ana María Risopatrón, Teresa de Los Andes. Teresa de Chile, Paula Ediciones, Santiago, 1988, 218 pages.

A wonderful album on the life of St. Teresa of the Andes with many pictures. The book includes long passages taken from the Diary and the Letters, as well as from letters received by Juanita and testimonies about her.

Unfortunately not available in Europe, this book can be purchased at the bookstore of the Teresa de Los Andes Shrine in Auco (Chile).

- Carta de edificación, 24 pages.

This is the necrological letter written by Mother Angelica Teresa, prioress of the carmel of Los Andes, after Teresa's death, according to the Carmel's custom to write a summing up of the life of the deceased nun to send it to other monasteries (in the case of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the necrological letter was the first edition of Story of a Soul).

The necrological letter is a short biographical text about Teresa's life. This edition includes nice pictures.

- Santa Teresa de Los Andes. Orden del Carmen Descalzo - Chile, 218 pages.

A wonderful book with many pictures published by the Order of Carmel for Teresa's canonization in 1993. Includes a biographical section but also texts dedicated to the spirituality of Teresa. Complementary of Ana María Risopatrón's book (Teresa de Los Andes - Teresa de Chile), this book is unfortunately out of print.

- Teresa de Los Andes A movie made by the Chilean television in 1989 (under the direction of Vicente Sabatini) relating the last three years of Teresa de Los Andes' life. The movie has a total duration of 6 and a half hours distributed on 4 DVD either in NTSC format or in PAL format. Available at the bookstore of the Teresa de Los Andes Shrine in Auco (Chile).

One could not recommand too highly this movie, shot in the historical places of Juanita's life (Santiago, Chacabuco, Algarrobo, the carmel of Los Andes), substantially faithful to historical truth and remarkably interpreted.

- Teresa de Los Andes A version of the same movie with English subtitles. Initially released by St. Paul Video (Boston), it is now sold by Ignatius Press (San Francisco). It can be ordered from Ignatius Press web site from September 30, 2009 on.
